Magician
Coordination between organisations that already know each other is a solved problem. The unsolved one is reach: a federated way to be introduced to somebody you have no path to, without either party surrendering their graph.

Why then
A thesis with no timing argument is an observation. This is what changed that made the company possible in that year and not three years earlier.
Every network effect available to a centralised connector has been captured. What has not been built is a connector where neither side hands over its relationships to participate.
The wedge
The narrow first thing. A thesis without one is a market map, and a market map is not a company.
Consented introductions with routing that no reward mechanic can influence — standing, ranking and trust are explicitly not purchasable.
What has to be true
Each assumption stated so it can be checked rather than agreed with. A reader who disagrees with one of these disagrees with the company, which is the point of writing them down separately.
| 01 | People will route an introduction through a protocol rather than a person they trust |
| 02 | Refusing to let rewards influence routing is a durable advantage rather than a growth handicap |
| 03 | Federation beats aggregation for reach, once more than two participants exist |
What would kill it
One falsifier, not a list. A thesis with five has none, because no one of them ever quite happens and the company survives every partial version.
Introductions route but do not convert — meaning the scarce thing was the introducer’s judgement, which a protocol cannot supply.
What dates it
The earliest artefact that could only exist if the thesis already did. It bounds the thesis from above rather than dating its formation — the belief precedes the commit, always.

How far it has got
The grade, and the register the grade was read from. A grade with no basis is an opinion wearing a badge.
Proven
Running against a population outside this estate, with a number that moves without our help.Evidenced
Running in production. Every consumer is inside the estate, which is the ceiling until somebody outside adopts it.Argued
This company is herePre-thesis
A real observation about the world. Not yet a company, and named here rather than dressed as one.Basis. magician.network is built and its four packages are on no registry. estate-packages.mjs reads them absent; @magician/concierge ships the activation checker this estate runs as its tenth standard, so the standard’s own checker cannot currently be installed.
What has actually been learnt
Append-only and dated. A lesson edited after the fact is a description, and this file has a rule against those.
| 2026-09 | The reward mechanic was deliberately built in a different package, because a doctrine forbidding it is a comment and a separate package is a thing somebody has to write code to defeat. |

Where this goes next
The vocabulary this thesis is written in, the cycle it was formed against, and the properties it touches. Every internal link is checked against the register that generates it, so a renamed term fails a test rather than becoming a 404 somebody finds later.
| Portable standing | What an introduction is actually transferring. |
|---|---|
| Scoped authority | Why routing that a reward can influence is not routing. |
| SocialFi | The cycle that priced relationships and got activity instead. |
| FlashyOS | Coordination between parties who already know each other — the solved half. |
| magician.network | The property. Its four packages are on no registry, which is why this grades M2. |
